Redmi Smart TV X43 | Launch Campaign

Redmi Smart TV X43 Product launch Campaign. Defined the visual direction and created branding and communication assets.

The Redmi Smart TV X43 is a 43" 4K LED Smart TV, part of the previously launched Redmi X series of TVs. The product is aimed at delivering The XL Experience at an affordable price point. During the launch of this product, I was responsible for leading the creative design front of the launch, creating digital and retail assets for the launch on the below mentioned verticals.

Key Visual:

A key visual is the first image or first look of the product, acting as a product teaser. Since the positioning was "The XL Experience," themes like "larger than life" were explored, I imagined an individual experiencing the TV and the elements from the scene would interact and come out of the TV to bring out the positioning better. Multiple concepts were on the drawing board and settled on one concept. Once the visual was designed, this translated as social media posts on various handles, adapted to homepage baners on mi.com and partner platforms, and served as the landing image on the preheat page.


Preheat Landing Pages:

During the preheat stage, the product and its features are teased out to generate interest in the product. The preheat landing page was designed using the key-visual direction as inspiration. To keep the page cryptic, dark tones and visuals are used.The page was responsive, meaning it was fully adaptable to both desktop and mobile platforms.


Wallpaper for the TV:

The product's wallpaper is extremely important and vital. It serves as the product's face, and users recognise it through it. In a similar vein, several options were considered before settling on one. The image was retouched in red tones. Furthermore, the wallpaper was updated on all previously released Redmi X series TV models in order to maintain a consistent theme across the family. Previously, the models were all outfitted with an abstract duotone cityscape theme wallpaper. The wallpaper was just very loud and positioned the TV at a different voice. Following the introduction of the Redmi Smart TV X43, the wallpapers were updated with the newly selected wallpaper. To distinguish the TV models, different hues and tones were assigned. The wallpaper appears to be zoomed out fractionally in the bigger models to emphasise the larger screen size of the TVs.


Retail Assets:

Offline assets, such as in-store signages, leaflets were created, and the new model was added to the existing series. The new product was kept in the forefront to draw attention to it. Because this was a backlit design, the background was mostly white. The red tones were avoided in offline assets because they would clash with competitor brand colours. An A5-sized leaflet with all of the product's key specs at a glance was created. The front page featured a visual of the TV with six key selling points, which were further explained on the back side. An A5-sized table top tent card with all of the product's key specs at a glance was created. This had a design that was significantly similar to the leaflet.
